Weekly Challenge: Bougie Pop ✨
Complete the Pop 300 point Travel Objective through heading to an establishment that serves small batch or artisanal soda and sample a glass for yourself.
Details:
1) Research the “soda scene” in your area until you discover an establishment that sells small batch soda or artisanal- in other words, “bougie pop”. We are purposefully leaving this definition a little vague to allow for regional differences, but at its heart we’re looking for a soda that is local and not mass produced. Depending on where you live, you may need to travel a bit to find what you’re looking for.
Tip: A lot of times, in addition to beer, your local brewery creates its own rootbeer. You may want to check there! (And if they don’t know, they may be able to suggest where you should look!)
2) Visit the establishment you chose and try the soda.
IMPORTANT: While usually we ask you not to overlap objectives, you may use this soda as one of your Fizzy Flight selections if you would like to.
3) Document your bougie pop adventure with at least one photo and post it in our Facebook Group in a comment on the post “Bougie Pop ✨.” (Posting on our Facebook Page is what reminds us to award you your well deserved star!)
4) Include in your comment, alongside your photo, tell us about your experience:
How did you discover this “bougie pop” and/or what made you choose it?
Where was the soda sold?
What type of soda was it?
What did you think of the soda? Would you recommend it to a fellow scout?
5) Don’t forget to record your points! Completing this objective not only earns you a star, but also 300 points towards your Pop quest for completing the Travel Objective.
