Weekly Challenge: Venation 🍁
October is Member Appreciation Month 2023! This is the third of five challenges created by your fellow scouts. This week’s challenge was inspired by Jessica Birdsley Getz. Jessica challenges you to look at Fall a bit more closely through creating leaf rubbings!

ve·na·tion ve-ˈnā-shən
: an arrangement or system of veins (as in the tissue of a leaf or the wing of an insect)
Details:
1) Head out on a walk and collect leaves from five different types of trees.
2) Identify the type of tree that each leave came from.
3) Create a leaf rubbing of each leaf. (If you’re new to lead rubbings, check out this resource.)
4) Label each leaf with the type of tree it belonged to.
5) Take a photo of your completed leaf rubbings and share it on our Facebook Page as a comment on the post “Venation 🍁.” (Posting on our Facebook Page is what reminds us to award you your well deserved star!)
